Who we are
uplb.tools is an independent, student-led open-source collective building utilities for the UPLB community. We are not an official UPLB website, office, or administrative body. Our tools are volunteer-maintained and provided free of charge.
Scope
These terms apply to this hub site and generally to projects we host (Room TBA, Elbi GradeSim, and others under the uplbtools GitHub organization). Individual apps may publish supplemental terms on their own domains.
No official status
Do not treat our maps, schedules, simulations, or copy as authoritative university records. Verify enlistment, grades, room assignments, and policy decisions with official UPLB systems and offices.
Acceptable use
- Use tools lawfully and respectfully.
- Do not attempt to disrupt services, scrape aggressively, or probe for vulnerabilities.
- Do not misrepresent volunteer tools as official UPLB products.
- Contributor accounts must not be shared; edits should reflect good-faith improvements.
- Follow our Code of Conduct in community spaces.
Open source
Most project source code is published on GitHub under open-source licenses noted in each repository. Licenses govern code reuse; they do not grant rights to university trademarks or third-party data.
Contributions
By submitting issues, pull requests, or in-app edit proposals you grant maintainers the rights needed to review, merge, and deploy your contribution under the project's license. You represent that you have the right to submit the material.
Disclaimer
Tools are provided "as is" without warranties. Volunteers are not liable for academic, administrative, or personal decisions you make using our software, including incorrect schedules, maps, or grade simulations.
Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features without notice. Volunteer bandwidth limits how quickly bugs are fixed.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after the "Last updated" date changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
